About
I'm Jacob Keller. I do independent research and analysis — most of it lives at the intersection of markets, technology, and policy. I'm based in New York.
Before independent work, I studied Philosophy and Biology at the University of Pennsylvania (class of '24), worked at Applecart on political data analytics, and ran consulting projects through Wharton.
How I work
I run my client work through JBK Research, a small practice that combines traditional research craft with modern data tooling. Engagements tend to be focused: a clear business question, a defined scope, and deliverables that actually help someone make a decision.
Outside of client work I write here regularly, mostly about things I'm learning. Topics rotate through markets, AI and agents, urban policy, and the occasional cross-sector synthesis.

Email is the best way: [email protected]. Also on LinkedIn. If you're thinking about an engagement, the research page describes how I work with clients.
